Your collection is really, really after my own taste - so I think you have superb taste! Very Happy

Thanks for sharing those fab photos.

Mark:
I must say that the 7-day Portuguese is one of my all time favorites. Thank you for sharing.

Less exotic is my Minerva Pythagore II with Anniversary dial. As you can see from this watch, I favor gold markers and hands with a silver dial. This watch is somewhat unusual as it has a completely in house movement. However, of the watches I posted on this thread, the Dornblueth is of course my new favorite.

It's like your Dornblueth's baby brother!

Yes, with the Minerva's 34mm case, it is definitely the baby brother of the two.

Continuing in the related style of the Dornblueth and other German timepieces is the Stowa Marine Original. In this instance, the Stowa Marine Original Limited Edition II has a flat black face, matte-finished case, metallic silver applied 12 (vs painted numerals), hand-applied serial number below subseconds (002/120), display back and limited to 120 pieces worldwide. I am grateful to Stowa, as it is through my Stowa watches that I was able to discover and appreciate Dornblueth watches.

Nice collection Vince, you've got some very classic pieces there.

The Minerva Pythagore is a beautiful watch, and difficult to find these days. Those Minerva folks (meaning the Freys, not Montblanc or whoever owns the brand now) could really design some stunning dials. Clean, balanced, and sophisticated without being fussy. Too bad they couldn't make a go of it long-term.

Tom:
I agree, and would love to find their 140th Anniversary watch on the left, as well as the 38 mm Pythagore II, in the Anniversary dial.
Very difficult to find, and sorry that they were so short-lived.

Not luminescent, but the gold markers and hands do stand out even in low light.

I thought my Dornbueth would look good with this new Stowa Chrono release.
Very complimentary don't you think?

There's definitely a degree of consistency between those two!

Hey nice! Are the hands and markers matching polished steel? (Couldn't be sure from the photo.) It's a very strong look.

I'm not positive, but I'm fairly certain that the applied numerals are made of silver, and the hands are highly polished steel. Suspect

Something always comes up that you may need or want ( a car in this instance), so I placed this watch, as well as other for sale, and the other watches sold before this one, so I am not needing to sell it. I am not able to delete the for sale post. Those that have inquired, I merely told them that the watch is no longer for sale, as I still own the watch and am very happy to keep it.

Vincesf,

This is a stunner. I love the gold-on-white look. The blue-on-white is a classic, of course, but this one's equally beautiful!

cheers,
