Name is Eric and I ordered my first Dornbluth (99.1) a couple months ago and expect delivery in March 2013. I go by the same handle on the other watch forums.
This watch is going to be engraved on the plate with the DOB of my new child. This forum has been an invaluable resource and probably the main contributing factor to me ordering a Dornbluth.
I have a couple questions and a picture request.
1) Are the yellow (or red) gold applied numerals plated or cut from solid sheet gold stock (14k ,18k)?
2) In regard to movement plating, I like the two toned look where the balance cock is plated with white metal and the remaining is plated with the typical red gold. Is this white metal Rhodium?
3) Does anyone have any pictures of a silver dial (preferably 99.1) with red gold applied markers? I've seen pictures of them on a 04.0 but the dial was black and the font of the markers was smaller.
Thank you,
Eric
