Mike:
I know very little about watchmaking, but I have done some studying on what makes a Dornblüth special. This appears to be like a Dornblüth movement in that it appears to be a the same base Unitas movement with a rose gold finish and Geneva stripes, gold chatons, sunburst finish on the crown wheels and a swan neck regulator.
From an aesthetic standpoint, this movement does not have a 3/4 plate with hand engraving, there's no hand engraved balance cock and the screws appear to be chemically treated instead of heat treated. Mechanically speaking, I feel quite confident in saying that most (if not all) of the modifications, part replacements and additions that Dornblüth makes are not present.
Remember, D.Dornblüth & Sohn watches are "Made in Germany".
Cheers!
