Hello all,

A new person to the forum here. Those gorgeous pictures by Jocke have warmed me to Dornbluth's watches. I noticed there is a porcelain dial option but it isn't clear to me if that is limited to the Regulator and possibly Gorch Fock or to the others.

Does anyone know which models can have a porcelain dial? I noticed the both the Regulator and Gorch Fock dials are machined. Are the other model's dial machined as well or flat?

Anyone know what the porcelain dial option costs?

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

I know it's possible to get the Caliber 99.1 with an enamel dial, because I have one on order. I presume, therefore, that it's available on all the models but I don't know this for certain.

I'm not 100% certain but my recollection is that the enamel dial on a 99.1 was €1,000 extra. I don't know if this would vary depending on the model purchased.

Hope that's of some assistance,

Mark

Hello B&V, and welcome to the forum!

Dirk will have to tell us about the availability of porcelain dials for his different models. Originally, he advertised them as an option for the Regulator and Center Seconds models. It appears they are also available by request for other models, as I've got one on order as well. Twisted Evil I can't wait to see one!

I'm not sure what you mean by "machined". The subdials on all of my silver-dialed Dornblüths seem to be slightly recessed from the dials. This is definitely more pronounced on the Regulator and Gorch Fock models that have dials which are engraved in house.

Cheers!

Thanks guys,

By machined I intended engraved vs stamped. Thanks for the input. It appears all models can potentially have a porcelain dial. True porcelain is lovely. One of these days I hope to order mine.
